Single-strung piano Viennese-action piano after a single-strung instrument by Anton Walter in the Finchcocks Collection dated 1802. The case is quarter-sawn Columbian pine with a painted penwork design. The legs are detachable and there is a knee-operated sustaining pedal. The strings are brass core, open-spun copper winding in the lower register, brass in the middle and soft iron in the treble. |
